Wahiba Oman
The Wahiba Sands, also known as Ramlat al-Wahiba or Sharqiya Sands, are the desert regions in Oman. The terrain is very diverse with amazing species of flora and fauna.
These desert regions have evoked scientific interest among the scientific and research community after the 1986 expeditions by the Royal Geographical Society. Wahiba has a total of 12,500 square kilometers of area. There are 200 various species of wild life and 16,000 invertebrates. This is a popular spot among scientific tourists.
